Well, really, not much has happened anyway. Been sorting out the camping stuff for next weekend. (Which is looking like it might be a bit wet now. But at least we'll have cakes. If I can make them successfully and get the icing the right colour).
And a trip to London to see James (the band, not some random bloke called James). Who were rather good. All mildly civilised, leading to absolutely no minor (or serious) injuries despite being right at the front. Which is sort of not right with several thousand people behind you and a barrier at rib-injuring height in front of you. Strange set of songs they played too. Couple of new ones, various popular singles, and some weird stuff.
Although, if you want to make an entrance by starting off behind a curtain which falls down just as all the lights explode into life and the song starts up properly, it might be worth remembering that it loses some of it's dramatic effect if you then get a roadie to pull the curtain off the stage during the first verse of the song.
Phil has also been buying new stuff for camping. A nice little barbecue, and a roof box for the car. In theory, this means we can fit all the stuff we have in the car easily. In practice, the extra space will probably instantly be filled with stuff we could probably have done without. (Like 37 pairs of shoes).
And I've now got another 15 quid in my Amazon account (making 60ish), and 2 quid gone into a Paypal account (I need it for something). Making £156.96 so far this year. And other bits owed to me soon.
The Mission CD arrived (3 days before it was released), and it's rather good. Best they've done for 17 years, although it does sound a bit like the Cure in places (not that that's really a bad thing). And he still can't write decent lyrics. ("they could impale you so don't run with scissors
/ cos being stabbed is not good for your health"??? Sorry, but I don't generally buy CDs for their useful health and safety advice).
